Installation: textile, wood, drawing, natural artifacts

’scraps, crumbs, bits, sprouts, seeds, shells, rocks, thoughts’
, is an installation composed of tools, garments, and objects inspired by the practice of foraging. Reimagined as a method of close observation and embodied memory, foraging becomes a way to engage with the world through slowness, care, and attentiveness. Emerging from walks through urban landscapes and encounters with resilient plants like horsetail (a prehistoric species still surfacing in sidewalk cracks) the project evolved into a collection of natural artefacts. Each of them, whether a pebble, dried leaf, or a seed, functions as a vessel for stories, traces, and forgotten histories.

The installation constructs an environment for this hybrid practice: part archive, part toolkit, part contemplative space. It invites a mode of being where recognition, of a plant, a place, a gesture, becomes a means of reconnecting with the urban environment in spite of its hybrid, alienating character.

Rather than a pursuit of productivity, it proposes a quiet resistance: exploring what it means to find belonging in places where nothing seems to belong.
