Sitting, Seeding, Meeting
is a textile work and mat that functions as a temporary ground for rest, gathering and observation. Using various fabric manipulation techniques, its surface wrinkles and folds into patterns reminiscent of topographic maps, soil structures and winding rivers.

The work explores shifts in perspective where its stitched surfaces evoke both micro- and macroscopic views of the landscape. When in use, it invites people to sit, gather and observe, redirecting attention to what is often overlooked: insects, plants, textures, and traces of life beneath our feet.

Accompanied by a series of sculptural dibbles, which can be used both to anchor the mat to the ground and to sow seeds, the work proposes a simple cycle of receiving and giving back, rethinking even the smallest of actions as a gesture of reciprocity.
