Outdoor Exhibition:

Gathering Ground, Gathering Grain

31.08.2025 - 07.09.2025

Running from August 31st to September 7th, Gathering Ground, Gathering Grain is a week-long outdoor exhibition and public programme taking place at Buurtwerkplaats Noorderhof.

Curated by Maja Wachowska and Rebekka Bank, the exhibition reimagines harvesting not only as the mindful gathering of Earth’s resources but also as a metaphor for drawing on the care, wisdom, and shared knowledge within our communities. With a focus on feminine and queer connections to the land, the exhibition brings together artists, performers, and local communities to reflect on the quiet cycles of tending and unseen labor that come before the harvest, reminding us that growth is rooted in silence, patience, and nurturing.

On Sunday the 31st of August the exhibition will open with a one-day event from 1pm till 8pm. It will be a full day of wreath-making, deep listening, seed-sharing, sweet tunes,  bread-baking, storytelling, tea-drinking and more. We welcome visitors of all ages to gather, share and connect through this celebratory gathering– make sure to not miss it!

The exhibition will feature artworks from:
 4Siblings · Michal Dawid · Joshua Goyenechea
Asha Victoria · Lucie Briand · Marta Pagliuca Pelacani
Jules Davis-Dufayard & Sasa Ghanem-Chaney
Maja Wachowska · Rebekka Bank

After the opening event the exhibition can be visited daily until September the 7th, from 10 am to 3 pm.

A tea ceremony will open the workshop, inviting the participants to try a home-made brew from Jules and Sasa’s harvests. The workshop will last about 1h 30 including a break (limited spots - send an email to rebekkabank@gmail.com to sign up!)
